About radikalFX
RadikalFX should be my outlet to ramble on about the interesting stuff I see in my day to day information hunt on the inter tubes. The only problem is that I tend to not write much here. When I started this domain, the original intent was to start using it to talk about the game development I was working on at that time. Never much game content has reached this page and currently everything related to my work back then, cannot be found here any more (sorry about that!).
So what is here now? In 1999 I started developing websites as a job next to my studying. Back then it was more hacking around in HTML and I didn’t know much about dynamic languages. Since then so much has changed, for the positive. In the last couple of years I have been working for a local search engine in the Netherlands. I’ve been developing both the front end and the search engine. In this position I have learned a lot about different Java frameworks, the growth of the web standards and user interaction and usability.
My primary interest nowadays (but this could switch any time), is the development in HTML (HTML5) and front end coding. The current browsers are offering more and better support for creating web sites that act more like applications then traditional web pages. This also means that instead of coding you applications front end with some horrible framework, new applications will actually develop with web standards.
